Book Review: Ikigai: The Japanese secret to a long and happy life

This book is all about secrets to longevity i.e living longer. The authors do a case study of people living in a place called Okinawa in Japan which has a higher average life expectancy than Japan and the world.

Authors highlight ideas that contribute to increasing in the life expectancy some of which are:

  • Focusing on the present and not worrying about the past and future
  • Identify an activity that gives you a reason to live, which motivates you to get out of the bed each morning
  • better diet.
  • daily exercise and keeping one self active each day.

This is a very good read, simple English and a short book.
