Ubuntu LTS Desktop Edition Released
Canonical Ltd. announced the upcoming availability of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition for free download on Thursday 24 April. In related news, Canonical also announced the simultaneous release of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server Edition.
Ubuntu 8.04 Long Term Support (LTS) provides a stable platform for software and hardware vendors, developers and users. With three years of support and maintenance on the desktop, 8.04 LTS is a great choice for large-scale deployment. A substantial and growing ecosystem of free and commercial software built for Ubuntu provides a rich set of choices for desktop users. This is the eighth desktop release of Ubuntu. Ubuntu’s track record in delivering – on a precise schedule every six months – a commercial operating system that is free, stable, secure and fully supported, remains unique.

Yet another great day for Ferrari with their drivers finishing on the podium once again but this time
separated by Hamilton in McLaren who finished Second ahead of Raikkonen in Ferrari. Massa took the chequered flag to put himself firmly back in championship contention. Hamilton took second place, less than a second ahead of Raikkonen. Kubica finished fourth ahead of BMW Sauber team mate Nick Heidfeld, who made up four places during the race to finish fifth. Alonso took sixth place for Renault ahead of Mark Webber for Red Bull and Nico Rosberg for Williams.
Qualifying- Turkish Grand Prix, 2008
Felipe Massa put his Ferrari on pole for the Turkish Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon, for the third consecutive time in Istanbul Park. But the two McLarens of Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton lined up second and third and they will be doing their best to frustrate the Brazilian’s aspirations for his hat-trick of victories. Kimi Raikkonen was fourth for Ferrari and it may be that he is running more fuel than Massa. Robert Kubica put his BMW Sauber fifth on the grid followed by Mark Webber for Red Bull, Fernando Alonso for Renault, Jarno Trulli for Toyota and Nick Heidfeld for BMW Sauberm and David Coulthard for Red Bull.

Oh!!!! Never thought that CSK would get out to such a low score. With a depleted batting attack in the absence of likes of Hayden, Hussey and Oram it was on to the experienced and highly respected Fleming and Dhoni to deliver the goods. Raina who’s in a good form did show some resistance with some sensible batting but he could manage only 27 but it was Morkel whose lusty hitting saw CSK to a respectable total. He scored 42 off 33 deliveries with 4 hits to the fence and 1 above it. Only 4 CSK batsmen managed a score in double figures and rest getting out for “binary” scores.
