Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP): Organised by E-FOREA and SBI

State Bank of India has been conducting the Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) for over 25 years at prestigious universities across India. It is conducted yearly in the IITs since 1971 and in non-engineering colleges such as NIFT, Bangalore from 2005 onwards.

The program is conducted in NITK from 17th – 21st December 2008 in association with E-FOREA (Engineers’ Forum for Entrepreneurship Awareness) which is the Entrepreneurship Cell of NITK.

The program was flagged off on the 17th December, 2008 by Dr G K Shivakumar, Dean- Administration, NITK. Amongst other dignitaries who were present for the inaugural ceremony included the Registrar, NITK Dr Govindraj, Mr Ganesh Bhat, Assistant General Manager- RBO Mangalore (SBI), Mr Pradip Banerjee, Assistant General Manager and program instructor, CSC Bangalore (SBI) , Mr CM Tallur, Assistant General Manager, Mangalore Main Branch (SBI) and Prof A H Sequeira, Faculty Advisor- E-FOREA. Representatives from the press were also present.

The program has participations from 25 students, all from NITK- 6 from M-Tech, 3 from final year B-Tech and 16 from 3rd Year B-Tech.

It is being conducted by Mr Pradip Banerjee- Assistant General Manager, Consultancy Services Cell- State Bank of India, Bangalore and Mr VM Bhat, Manager, Consultancy Services Cell- State Bank of India, Bangalore.
