Bahrain Grand Prix Race Results- Alonso leads Ferrari 1-2

Ferrari

Ferrari is back with a bang with Alonso leading 1-2 finish at the start of the 2010 season with Massa finishing second and Hamilton third. Vettel who lead most part of the race slowly dropped to 4th position but held onto it thwarting Rosberg in Mercedes who finished 5th ahead of team mate Schumacher in other Mercedes. Button tried hard to take the 6th position but Schumacher kept his cool and Button finished 7th ahead of Webber in the other Red Bull. Luizzi got the points for Force India finishing 9th. Force India looks good this season and we can expect them to score more points in the coming seasons. Other Indian in F1- Chandhok didn’t seem to be on the track. So Ferrari starting off with a 1-2 finish looks like they are back to their winning ways. After snatching the lead from Vettel, Alonso cruised ahead taking a 16sec lead from Massa. Schumacher needs to get back to his winning ways but Mercedes doesn’t look that faster when compared to the Ferraris.

F1 caravan will now be moving to Australia with the Australian GP to be held from March 26-28.

Bahrain Grand Prix Qualifying- Vettel takes pole

Formula 1

Interesting- Red Bull on pole followed by the two Ferrari’s then there’s Hamilton, Mercedes’s Rosberg, Red Bull again this time its Webber and the man to watch out for- Michael Schumacher- will be starting 7th ahead of another Button. So Vettel will be under pressure from the two Red Cars- the start is going to be as usual crucial and interesting. Lets see if Schumacher will get off to a good start and snatch few places to move up. Force India’s Sutil in top 10 that’s something to cheer for Indians 🙂 Meanwhile Chandhok will be starting from the last- Hope he doesn’t become another Narain. So there’s Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, one from Renault and Force India completing the top 10 positions.Don’t know what the other teams are for- May be just to fill up the last positions. 😀

So lets see who’s going to win the opening Grand prix.

Formula 1 season is back again!

Formula 1

I hardly was concerned about the Race results last year, I used to just glance through the news paper for the results and read the report there. There’s wasn’t much action/competition with some Brawn dominating through out the season and with lots of technical issues, teams boycotting and all. But with the return of Michael Schumacher with his old Team Boss- Ross Brawn under whom he won his 7 driver championships and with an Indian driver-  Chandhok this season is going to be interesting. Michael fans are eager to see their driver give a tough competition to the likes of Button, Hamilton, Massa, Alonso. Also Hamilton will be for the first time racing alongside Michael so its going to be something new for him 🙂 And Mercedes GP up against the likes of Ferrari, McLaren, Williams makes it even more challenging.

So watch out for the action over the weekend when F1 2010 Season kicks off with Bahrain GP.
