Great Qualifying for Ferraris- Massa Takes Pole at Monaco GP

Qualifying- Monaco Grand Prix, 2008

A great qualifying for Ferrari with both their drivers locking the front row at the Monaco Grand Prix. The race here last year was dominated by McLarens but this time Ferraris have managed a better performance in the Qualifying. Massa continues his great form and performance so does Kimi Raikkonen. This was Massa’s 3rd pole position this season. The second row is filled by the McLarens with Lewis Hamilton and Kovalainen taking the 3rd and 4th grid positions respectively. Then as usual Kubica sticking to his 5th position but the other BMW Sauber Nick Heidfeld will start from 13th position- a major setback for the team which is competing with the likes of Ferrari and McLaren for the Consructors. Nico Rosberg carried his excellent practice form into the qualifying with sixth on the grid for Williams.

Fernando Alonso lined his Renault up in the seventh place while Red Bull’s Mark Webber and David Coulthard were 9th and 10th and Jarno Trulli taking the 8th grid position. Force India’s Adrian Sutil and Giancarlo Fisichella occupy the last row in the order.

With very less overtaking chance lets see what Massa and Kimi will do to give Ferraris a 1-2 finish, something they would love to have. Can Lewis and Kovalainen prevent Ferraris from domaniating?
