Aamir Khan has done it again- This time with TZP!!!

Actor Aamir Khan’s debut directorial venture Taare Zammen Par, a sensitive story of an eight year old dyslexia child, has been selected as India’s entry to the foreign language category for Oscars at the 81st annual Academy Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on February 22, 2009. The other Bollywood films in competition were, A Wednesday, Rock On, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Jodhaa Akbar, Black & White – all of which have won critical acclaim. There were also two Marathi films Tingya and Vaalu and a Telegu film Gamyam in contention.

The film is chosen in such a way tat it has a fairly good chance of winning the Oscar and also the film should meet the minimum requirements laid down for an Oscar. TZP had it all. Rigth mix of direction, script, acting, animation. The songs too are good- almost are the songs are hummable. This is Aamir second entry after Lagaan. TZP has fairly good chances of winning the Oscar.
